This is the latest new theatre added to Braemar Hospital in Hamilton. All operating theatres at Braemar Hospital are now digital (ultra high-definition 4K imaging). The images in 4K allow the surgeon to operate with images that replicate the human eye.
Braemar Hospital was the first hospital in Australasia to install ultra high definition in the operating theatres.
In the above theatre there are 3 TV monitors: One for the Surgeon, the second one for the Surgical Asssistant and the last one to be used for the rest of the theatre staff to monitor closely and in real-time what exactly is happening with the surgery.
