Pelvic pain is usually the symptom of a disease. There are a considerable number of gynaecological problems responsible for pelvic pain. Finding the problem or the reason for your pelvic pain is not always straightforward and this can be frustrating sometimes.

Common conditions causing pelvic pain

As part of the investigations to find a reason for your chronic pain are: Internal examinations, vaginal swabs, pelvic scans and laparoscopy. The treatment should be directed at the suspected cause of pain.

You should seek medical advice when a chronic pain is interfering with your normal life or daily activities.
